The selected candidate will define and implement NBCUniversal’s NextGen Network according to standard and best practices, working closely with partners and stakeholders to gather requirements and derive possible solutions. The candidate will also serve as a technical resource, providing guidance and advice to other Operations & Technology teams and participating in on-call support escalation rotation.\nWhat We’re Looking For In a Candidate\nExcellent systematic problem-solving approach, with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to articulate security objectives to a variety of audiences.\nAbility to work in a highly collaborative environment and to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.\n\nQualifications\n\n5+ years of experience in enterprise implementing, maintaining, and supporting network firewalls, remote access solutions, load balancers, routers, and switches.\n3+ years of experience in leading network initiatives, identifying, deriving and document network and network security requirements.\nExperience with high-availability network and network security designs and associated protocols; Dual-ISP, first-hop redundancy, geo-diverse failover, cloud regionality/availability zones.\nAdvanced Routing and switching experience with BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN-VxLAN, MPLS.\nParticipate in operational on-call rotation for support of 24x7 production on-air network infrastructure.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nCisco and/or Arista Networks experience\nPalo Alto Networks PCNSE/PCCSE or equivalent experience\nUnderstanding of network security and cloud security concepts and best practices\nThis position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week.
