By joining Ames, you will be working with talented colleagues at an award-winning, nationally recognized top 65 general contractor.\nPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available at this time for this position.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nInstill Safety as a top priority.\nManage and support a team consisting of Project Engineers, Superintendents, and project staff.\nTrack and report project progress, budgets, and needs with Operation Managers.\nBuild relationships and communicate with owners or owner’s representatives.\nIdentify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.\nProvide monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.\nAssist with updating monthly schedules.\nCoordinate equipment and staff needs with regional and on-site management.\nBe familiar with all aspects of the project.\nServe as the project representative with clients at meeting, job walks, and other meeting and correspondence.\nOther duties as assigned.\nExperience, Education & Skills Preferred\n6+ years experience in highway/roadway/structure heavy construction as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager.\nMust have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivation skills\nStrong communication skills both written and oral.\nGood attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.\nBachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.\nDesire to grow and develop career and mentor other coworkers.\nMust have a valid Driver’s License.\nWorking Conditions\nCompensation - $115,000-$150,000\nConstruction Site Environment – Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.\nConstruction Site Office Environment – Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.\nAmes Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
