Industrial Hygienist
Industrial Hygienist HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking an Industrial Hygienist who conducts public health duties and assignments for the HES Department under minimal supervision. May direct or lead the work of others from time-to-time.Job Duties:Identifies, evaluates, measures and controls employee hazards in the refineryUpdates programs and policies periodically and ensures that there are constant evaluations for areas of improvement and changeWorks with exposure assessment for all employees and contractorsPrepares entry and hot work permitsServes as a radiation safety director, asbestos coordinator, and incident safety officerServes in the respiratory protection program, hearing protection programProvides training to new hiresSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretionExperience: A minimum of ten years of experience is required. Education Level: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in public health and/or industrial hygiene, or education and/or equivalent experience.Required Skills: Must have knowledge of public health and industrial hygiene and be able to apply this knowledge as it pertains to the company. Ability to effectively communicate with others, intermediate reading and writing, and an ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations.Work Conditions: Office and refinery based with travel up to 25% of the time by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, working in confined spaces, and exposure to the risk of electrical shock, wet and/or oil contaminated conditions, at both below grade and elevated positions.
