This role is crucial for the efficient and precise installation, maintenance, and repair of copper and fiber cabling. You will be expected to convey a professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the services to the public. While the location of your home residence is not a critical factor for the role, travel is a requirement. Although out-of-town trips are typically of shorter duration, our fast-paced company demands quick dispatch readiness. Flexibility is key, as our customer base requires us to adapt to varying work schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays\nJob Responsibilities:\nDesign and install fiber and copper cables in retail/commercial settings.\nTerminate copper and fiber optic cabling.\nDesign and install fiber and copper cables in retail/commercial settings.\nIdentify circuits and connect to network equipment.\nConfigure network addresses.\nTest cable and ensure the accuracy of cable testing, documentation, and storage.\nTest, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with cable faults.\nTerminate and dress communications closets according to BICSI standards.\nPerform cabling and PBX/phone Moves, Adds, or Changes (MAC)\nPerform troubleshooting of network hardware and implement appropriate solutions.\nManage time, material, and people resources throughout project lifecycles.\nManage work orders, signoffs, daily log/journal, and other project documentation.\nQualifications:\nMust have at least one year of experience and an aptitude for computer technology and working with your hands.\nDesired qualifications include three years’ industry experience.\nBISCI or other industry certifications are strongly preferred.\nPC proficiency, Microsoft Office applications\nAbility to travel, often extensively and sometimes with little notice.\nFlexibility to work the hours of the traditional second and third shifts.\nMust demonstrate the highest standards of ethics and integrity.\nStrong client/people relationship skills\nMust have a relatively clean and valid driver’s license\nMeet company standards for pre-employment background checks and drug screening.\nTypical physical demands include frequent work on lifts, ladders, and possibly rooftops and other harder-to-access areas.\nMust be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with employees and/or clients; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects (typically up to 50 lbs.), and operating power tools.\nMust have industry-standard hand tools.\nPrime Telecom Solutions\nCore Values:\nPeople Focused: People are at the heart of everything we do.
