{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"d16e5f2b6e5a9fa4ac44ce88","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d16e5f2b6e5a9fa4ac44ce88","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/d16e5f2b6e5a9fa4ac44ce88","title":"Software Quality Engineer","description":"Title: Engineer Software Quality 3\nLocation: Buffalo, NY (Onsite)\nDuration: 6 months (Extendable)\nThe Software Quality Assurance Engineer role will:\nDevelop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.\no Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with standards, objectives, and/or contract requirements via inspection, reviews, and audits.\nDevelop overall operating measures and criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to standards, objectives, and/or contract requirements.\no Ensure measures meet acceptable performance standards/targets/goals.\nContribute to software development and maintenance processes and methods utilized by Software Engineering, ensuring compliance with requirements, objectives and/or contract requirements.\nReview software engineering work products (e.g., design, change specifications, and plans) against contractual and/or process requirements.\nPerform or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, another STEM degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of software experience or 3 years with a Master’s degree or 0 years with a PhD in one of the above disciplines.\nUnderstanding of software engineering principles, practices, and theories.\nExperience in operating in a Quality Management System (QMS).\nStrong analytical skill with an understanding of basic problem solving.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nEmbodiment of our Northrop Grumman Values.\nDedicated to teamwork and able to work well in a team environment.\nWorks well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks.\nProficiency in MS Office Applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.\nUS Citizenship required.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience coding in Ada, C, C++, and/or Python.\nAbility to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.\nExperience with ISO and AS9100 standards requirements.\nKnowledge and/or experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools.\nAbility and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.\nKnowledge of waterfall and/or Agile life-cycles.\nJob Type: Contract\nPay: $52.00 -
