Assists Workers' Compensation Director with process improvements, employee training and development. Diagnoses issues within the department and devises resolution tactics.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nSupervises the Workers' Compensation Department or a group of employees in the department and performs all supervisory responsibilities described below. Identifies, manages, and resolves employee performance and disciplinary issues. Reviews, guides, and recommends actions to ensure fairness and consistency.\nResponsible for meeting and maintaining department benchmarks and goals, including revenue, aged and overall production goals.\nDevelops individual and team benchmarks in order to encourage high productivity. Monitors quality and productivity and makes corrections when necessary.\nConducts and reviews daily reports to assess employee and training issues and to ensure productive account management.\nReviews, edits and approves denial requests. Ensures Claims Specialists are using correct text and respond to any questions, issues, etc, with regard to the denial process. Develops employees to be able to process their own denials.\nDevelops and conducts department training. Trains new hires in general company and AcciClaim training and department-specific training. Performs continuous training through activities such as work review, QA sessions, team meetings, one-on-one coaching, etc.\nAnalyzes accounts to ensure client placements meet the company's requirements and that providers place quality accounts. Recommends process changes in order to achieve more efficient resolution as needed.\nCommunicates with clients, when needed, regarding account questions and concerns. Suggests solutions for problems when needed.\nWorks with other departments to facilitate best practices for overall effectiveness and protocols and procedures.\nPerforms special projects as assigned.\nMaintain confidential information, whether verbal, written or electronic, which I will learn in the course of my work.\nWill not access or attempt to access confidential data that is unrelated to my job duties in the course of my work.\nWill not disclose Protected Health Information (PHI) in violation of law.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable Federal, State and local laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nSkills and Experience\nHS diploma or equivalent required.
