FLEET TECHNICIAN

Position Description:Independently maintains Santee Cooper fleets and equipment by performing repairs or preventative maintenance as needed.Essential Job Tasks:Troubleshoots using electronic diagnostic equipment along with job knowledge and experience to evaluate and repair problems with fleets and equipment to include hydraulic, pneumatic fiber optic, electrical and computer systems, air condition systems, and other drive components. Rebuild or replace vehicle major components as required. Completes all job related paperwork, order parts, create and complete work orders, prepare new fleets and equipment for use, and enter all pertinent vehicle maintenance data into the computer system using asset management software.Fabricates and modifies structures of fleets and equipment through the use of welding and cutting equipment. Will consider Fleet Technician A, B or CPosition Requirements:Fleet Technician AHigh school diploma/GED + 5 years experience required.Must obtain Class A CDL within 6 months for date of hire.Compensation Information:$30.05 -$37.55 (min. - mid.)Fleet Technician BHigh school diploma/GED + 2 years experience required.Must obtain Class A CDL within 6 months for date of hire.Compensation Information:$22.00 -$27.45 (min. - mid.)Fleet Technician CHigh school diploma/GED required.Must obtain Class A CDL within 6 months for date of hire.Compensation Information:$19.85 - $24.80 (min. - mid.)
