We are hiring a full-time, long-term Architect's Assistant/ Architectural AutoCAD Drafter for our architectural practice. No Civil Engineers please. This immediate full-time position requires a strong knowledge of AutoCAD and architectural procedures and a BS degree in Architecture. College Transcript required. We are hiring in our North Bellmore office. ABOUT YOU: The successful candidate currently lives in Nassau or Western Suffolk county on Long Island in NY. He or she need not be licensed but will be working for a Registered Architect to produce design and construction drawings using AutoCAD in addition to field sketching and measuring. We participate with NCARB for your licensing benefits. We do 75% residential projects and 25% commercial projects. Applicants must have and maintain their own transportation for use in field work, a strong command of the English language both written and verbal, be detail oriented and thorough, a fast learner and independent worker with good retention. Non-smoking office. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
