With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we look forward to our bright future!\n\nJob Description:\n\nThe External Relations Manager leads the site’s External Relations function responsible for advancing the company’s business objectives and social performance through proactive stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, community and economic development, social-risk management, and effective resolution of community concerns.\n\nThe Manager serves as a senior representative of CC&V, advises site leadership on community, local government, media, and reputational matters, and oversees the employees, contractors, consultants, plans, budgets, and programs supporting the External Relations function. The Manager is also responsible for developing and executing strategies that strengthen relationships with communities, elected officials, businesses, educational institutions, local media, and other key stakeholders locally and regionally.\n\nDay to Day:\n\nThe duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.\n\nKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nCommunity & Stakeholder Relations:\n\nDevelop and execute the site's external relations strategy, Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), and related annual plans.\n\nIdentify, map, and prioritize stakeholders and develop appropriate engagement strategies based on stakeholder interests, influence, concerns, and potential site impacts.\n\nBuild and maintain trusted relationships with local communities, local elected officials, government agencies, community organizations, educational institutions, neighboring landowners, and industry partners.\n\nRepresent CC&V at public meetings, community forums, government meetings, public hearings, and other external events.\n\nLead community meetings, advisory groups, public consultations, open houses, and stakeholder engagement activities.\n\nMonitor community sentiment and emerging social or reputational issues and provide site leadership with stakeholder perspectives and recommendations.\n\nMaintain system-based tracking tools, ensuring data quality, completeness, and audit readiness.\n\nCommunity Development:\n\nLead implementation of the site's Community Development Plan in alignment with business objectives, social-impact findings, and community priorities.\n\nEstablish priorities and oversee community investments, partnerships, and development initiatives related to education, workforce development, local suppliers, economic diversification, infrastructure, tourism, community capacity, and historic preservation.\n\nLead the planning, execution, and monitoring of economic development initiatives with a strong emphasis on participatory design and community ownership.\n\nCollaborate with Human Resources, Supply Chain, and other departments to advance local workforce, education, supplier-development, and procurement opportunities.\n\nSocial Performance:\n\nSupport implementation of the site's Social Performance framework, including Social Impact Assessments (SIAs), Human Rights commitments, social risk management, and sustainability reporting.\n\nIdentify and evaluate social and reputational risks associated with operations, projects, permitting activities, and organizational changes.\n\nOwn and administer the site’s community feedback, concern, and grievance mechanism.\n\nManage the site’s Cultural Heritage Management program.\n\nSupport reporting against ESG and sustainability objectives.\n\nCommunications:\n\nSet the site’s communications priorities and ensure public information is accurate, timely, accessible, and aligned with company positions.\n\nOversee public meetings, open houses, community events, mine tours, educational outreach, and visits by elected officials and other stakeholders.\n\nSupport local media inquiries and public messaging in coordination with Corporate Communications.\n\nSupport external communications and stakeholder outreach associated with significant community issues, operational events, or incidents.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\n\nLead the stakeholder-engagement strategy associated with permitting, public hearings, operational changes, and major projects in coordination with Environmental and other responsible departments.\n\nEnsure community concerns and stakeholder expectations are understood by project teams and site leadership.\n\nIntegrate external stakeholder considerations into business planning, project development, risk assessments, and operational decision-making.\n\nPartner with Environmental, Operations, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Supply Chain, Land, Legal, and corporate teams to manage external risks and opportunities.\n\nLeadership & Administration:\n\nSupervise, coach, and develop external relations employees\n\nDirect contractors and consultants supporting site plans, programs, and external-relations initiatives\n\nEstablish departmental priorities, work plans, performance expectations, and resource requirements.\n\nDevelop departmental budgets and manage expenditures.\n\nEstablish key performance indicators and report results, risks, and emerging issues to site and corporate leadership.\n\nManage multiple site plans and initiatives.\n\nEnsure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.\n\nIs This You??\n\nBachelor's Degree in Social Science, Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy or related field preferred.\n\n10+ years of progressive experience in community relations, government relations, or economic development.\n\nSupervisory or leadership experience.\n\nExperience in mining, natural resources, energy, infrastructure, or other regulated industries preferred.\n\nExperience leading community investment and development initiatives preferred.\n\nDemonstrated experience engaging elected officials, community leaders, media representatives, and other public stakeholders.\n\nStakeholder engagement and relationship management\n\nCommunity and economic development\n\nPublic consultation and facilitation\n\nSocial performance and ESG principles\n\nStrategic communications and public speaking\n\nEmployee, contractor, and project management\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills\n\nAbility to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office programs\n\nWorking Conditions & Location:\n\nThis is an in-person office position based in Victor, Colorado.\n\nThe schedule for this role is 4 days on/3 days off, 10-hour shifts, with the ability to alter work schedule when required and provide occasional on-call availability.\n\nThe position generally follows the site’s established work schedule but requires flexibility to attend community events, public meetings, hearings, and stakeholder engagements that may occur during evenings or weekends.\n\nMust be able to work at high
