What You’ll DoBuild and develop embedded Linux systems (BSPs, build systems, configuration)Bring up new hardware platforms and support board-level integrationDesign and implement C/C++ software close to hardwareInterface embedded Linux with FPGA and other hardware systemsDefine system architecture, interfaces, and product behaviorDebug issues across the full stack (application ↔ Linux ↔ FPGA ↔ hardware)Support manufacturing, testing, and field issue resolutionParticipate in design reviews and collaborative engineering discussionsContribute ideas and solutions in a small-team, high-trust environmentHelp shape long-term platform direction and technical decisionsHave high visibility into decisions and product directionMeaningful, long-term engineering work (not disposable code)Supportive environment with sustainable workload expectations What We’re Looking For3+ years of experience in embedded systems or systems engineeringStrong C/C++ experience close to hardwareEmbedded Linux experience (Yocto, BSPs, drivers, or system bring-up)Hands-on debugging of hardware/software integration issuesAbility to take loosely defined problems and turn them into working systemsComfortable working in a small, highly collaborative, family-style engineering teamStrong communication, humility, and willingness to work closely with others Nice to HaveFPGA experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog)DSP, audio systems, or real-time systems experienceXMOS or similar architecturesHigh-speed digital or hardware design exposureExperience in small teams with broad ownershipTools: Git, Vivado, Altium, MATLABBenefitsRetirement plan with employer matchFlexible PTOFlexible working hoursHealth Reimbursement Account (HRA)Equity eligibilityPlease send resume to: employment@gracedesign.comImportant NoteThis role is best suited for engineers who enjoy building and debugging real systems in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
