Chief Project EngineerDepartment: EngineeringEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: OrlandoReporting To: Billy AnguishDescriptionThe Chief Project Engineer is a leadership role that leads and manages the Project Engineering Division within the Engineering Department at FINFROCK. The role requires overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring they meet design and company standards, regulatory requirements, and project deadlines.The Chief Project Engineer must demonstrate the ability to communicate with, lead, and manage others. They must demonstrate the ability to set and maintain schedules by performing work themselves as well as assigning work to othersDuties & ResponsibilitiesManages the project schedule, budget, and resources, working with other project stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budgetResponsible for properly staffing the department to meet immediate and planned project needsOversee the engineering designs and drawings for projects, ensuring that the project deliverables align with requirements and standardsAssist project team members on engineering issues that arise during the project, ensuring that the project remains on track and within budgetSupervises a team of project engineers, providing necessary guidance and supportReview and maintain the content and appearance of all relevant documents distributed by Engineering to assure completeness and consistencyParticipate in development of Engineering project budgets and schedulesCoordinate with other FINFROCK departments to develop and implement desired project delivery system, schedule, and cross departmental processesCollaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive final productQualificationsDegree in civil or structural engineering (master's degree preferred)Must have PE license in the State of FloridaPrevious experience with designing prestressed/precast concrete and multi-story commercial construction projects in a Design-Build environment10+ years' experience in structural engineeringExperience managing large projects with complex featuresExperience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationPrevious experience in identifying and executing creative, cost competitive solutionsPrevious experience in personnel managementBenefits401K Plan - Typically we match 100% of Employee contributions up to 15% of your base salary so you can relax and retire one day.100% employer-paid health insurance for employees and contribution toward "family" coverageLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off program
