The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.Job SummaryOur client is seeking a Counselor with a focus on out-patient and residential social work. The primary responsibilities include facilitating psychotherapy sessions, managing a caseload, and coordinating virtual sessions via Zoom. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and be able to maintain professional boundaries with clients.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitating in-person and virtual psychotherapy sessions, and handling the case management process.Providing individual case management and counseling sessions in line with the individualized treatment plan.Coordinating integrated services with various medical, mental health, and social service providers.Completing detailed progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with OASAS and CARF standards.Maintaining clinical charts and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Submitting regular reports through the Substance Abuse Tracking and Reporting System.Engaging in effective advocacy for clients and expanding referral networks.Participating in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.QualificationsLicensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)Experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatmentAbility to lead group sessionsStrong communication skills; organized and flexible team playerBenefitsPaid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan.
