This position ensures stability, scalability, and performance of application platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role serves as a technical engineer within the IAS team, driving best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across IT and business units.\nKey Responsibilities Infrastructure & Application Engineering Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure supporting enterprise applications, including middleware, application servers, and integration platforms.\nLead complex system deployments, upgrades, and migrations (on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments).\nEnsure high availability, resiliency, and performance of critical application environments.\nConduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization initiatives.\nOperational Support & Reliability Provide Tier3 escalation support for production issues and outages.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.\nDevelop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.\nParticipate in on‑call rotation for critical systems support.\nSecurity & Compliance Ensure infrastructure adheres to enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.\nParticipate in vulnerability remediation, patching, and risk mitigation efforts.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure architecture designs.\nCollaboration & Leadership Serve as a technical advisor to application teams, architects, and stakeholders.\nMentor and provide guidance to Systems Engineers I and II or Associate Partner.\nPartner with cross‐functional teams (network, storage, cloud, database, development).\nDocument architecture, processes, and operational procedures.\nExperience / Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n5–8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or application platform support.\nStrong experience with enterprise application platforms (M365, SCCM, Azure).\nExperience with Windows Server.\nProficiency in virtualization and cloud platforms.\nExperience with scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, etc.).\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, etc.).\nExperience supporting mission‑critical, highly available systems.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability Key Competencies Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.\nScope & Impact Works independently on complex engineering tasks and initiatives.\nInfluences infrastructure standards, architecture, and best practices.\nPlays a critical role in ensuring uptime and performance of business‑critical applications.\nActs as an escalation point and subject matter expert within IAS.\nStrategic thinking with attention to technical detail.\nLeadership and mentoring capabilities.\nTravel Requirements None.\nPhysical Requirements Regularly completes computer work and sits. Occasionally walks and stands. Seldomly or never lifts up to 50 lbs.\nIndependent Judgement Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices.
