The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, fabricated components, equipment, and services while maintaining cost-effective purchasing strategies and ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules. Strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and knowledge of fabrication materials and processes are essential.\r\nEssential Duties\r\nSource and procure raw materials, fabricated components, equipment, and services required for fabrication and manufacturing operations.\r\nSolicit and evaluate vendor quotations, bids, and proposals to obtain the best value for the company.\r\nNegotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers.\r\nCreate, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.\r\nMaintain relationships with existing vendors while identifying and qualifying new suppliers.\r\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, warehouse, and project teams to ensure material availability.\r\nResolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, shortages, and discrepancies.\r\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and procurement documentation.\r\nAnalyze purchasing trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.\r\nEnsure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.\r\nRequirements/Skills\r\nMinimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment.\r\nStrong knowledge of fabrication materials, steel products, mechanical components, and industrial supplies.\r\nProven experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.\r\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, material specifications, and purchase requisitions.\r\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\r\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\r\nExcellent communication and vendor relationship management abilities.\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\r\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.\r\nAbility to occasionally visit fabrication shops, warehouses, and industrial facilities.\r\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds when necessary.\r\nAbility to use computers, phones, and office equipment for extended periods.\r\nAbility to visually inspect materials, purchase documentation, and inventory records.\r\nEqual Opportunity Statement\r\nFlexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
