Licensed Child Psychotherapist Position and Expressive Arts Therapist Position

Expressive Therapy Center (ETC), established in 1999, is a welcoming and respected group practice in North Potomac, Maryland, seeking an experienced and licensed child psychotherapist and expressive arts therapist to join our collaborative team.Company Description:ETC has been a leader in providing individual and group therapy and testing services for over 25 years in the MD/DC/VA area. We serve children, adolescents, and individual adults, couples, and families, and provide psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational testing. ETC is well known for our group therapy services, expressive art therapy(play, art, drama, and movement). We incorporate an eclectic mix of treatment modalities and specialties. Clinical collaboration and a team approach are highly emphasized.Position Overview:We have 2 positions available for both experienced and licensed LCPC, LCSW, LCPAT, LCMFT, LGPC, LMSW, or Licensed Psychologist to provide high-quality therapeutic services within individual and group settings at our North Potomac, MD office. Our ideal candidate will be a motivated and reliable professional with a strong clinical background, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a passion for helping others. This candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a consistent commitment to quality care and teamwork. Please note that to provide the best care for our clients, some evening or weekend availability may be necessary.Required Qualifications:Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social work, or a related field.Licensure: Active license in good standing in the state of Maryland as an LCPC, LCPAT, LCSW, LCMFT, LGPC, LMSW, or licensed psychologist.Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of clinical experience, with expertise in providing individual therapy (children/adolescents) and/or family and couples therapy.Therapeutic Approach: Experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques and an openness to working with diverse ages, populations, and presenting issues (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, etc.).Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Along with excellent communication skills, the ideal candidate will be able to navigate an electronic medical record (EMR) system and independently manage a caseload.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a private practice setting is a plus.Specializations or interest in areas such as play therapy, art therapy, adolescent therapy, trauma, grief, or couples counseling.Additional licenses in DC and/or VA preferred.What We Offer:Flexible Schedule: Full-time or part-time availability, with flexible scheduling to accommodate client needs.Collaborative Environment: A supportive and team-oriented atmosphere.Competitive Compensation: Based on experience.Administrative Support: We handle client intake and billing so you can focus on providing excellent care.
