Process Engineer/Mechanical/Manufacturing
Significant independence, creativity, and latitude are required. Propose and manage technical projects, implementing new products and processes. May also perform some manufacturing engineering work. Familiar with standard project management tools such as Gantt Charts, Resource Maps and Constraint Management. Relies heavily on matrix influence to plan and accomplish goals.
Job Responsibilities
Manage a variety of projects related to implementation of new products and processes.
Communicate project status and roadblocks to affect individuals, manage through resistance and priority conflicts.
Plan and execute all required tasks, ensuring all team members know all tasks and deadlines.
Use technical judgement and skill to resolve process and product problems.
Analyze products and processes, take or recommend corrective action and/or opportunities for improvement.
Interface with project stakeholders, including external customers/vendors, to provide status, obtain information and overcome obstacles.
Recommend, develop, and deploy process improvements.
May be required to do limited travel to support the above.
Qualifications
4-year degree preferred or equivalent.
5 years of experience minimum of mechanical engineering, process engineering or equivalent. Would consider entry level engineers
Glass fabrication experience in processes such as glass cutting, seaming, machining and screen printing preferred.
Work within timelines and controlled environments. Must be able to prioritize work orders and be adaptable to changes in priorities.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.
Effective listening, communication (verbal and written) skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
Collaborator who works productively with different departments
Proficient in CAD
Demonstrated high integrity and ethical standards.
