In this hybrid role, you’ll be part of our Electrical Solutions and Prefabrication team, collaborating closely with project partners to plan, set up and manage design/build construction projects. You’ll work alongside project teams from early design through completion, playing a hands‑on role in delivering high‑quality electrical solutions. responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include but are not limited to the following:\n\nCollaborate with the project design team to plan, set up and manage a design/build construction project(s).\n\nNavigate and use Egans AutoCAD and/or Revit systems and processes.\n\nIndependently perform the following:\n\nManage project(s) from start to finish or take over an in-progress project(s)\n\nSet up a project or work on an existing project(s).\n\nPrepare electrical construction documents and/or change documents using Revit or AutoCAD.\n\nElectrical design and Engineering tasks such as:\n\nGeneral project planning.\n\nCircuiting, lighting, UPS, generator/transfer switch, and power system designs.\n\nGeneral room/building lighting, egress lighting and power device layouts.\n\nEquipment room layouts.\n\nMechanical or other building equipment coordination.\n\nPerform Energy Code calculations.\n\nCreate designs that comply with various Building/Electrical/Energy codes.\n\nAttend design/job site meetings in MN.\n\nAssist with estimating projects.\n\nCoordinate electrical design with architectural, interior, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and technology designs.\n\nReview of project(s) shop drawings.\n\nConduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.\n\nStrong working knowledge of UPS systems, generator/transfer switch systems and lighting controls.\n\nParticipate in construction documents and constructability reviews.\n\nKeep Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.\n\nPromote a positive safety culture by following Egans safety policies.\n\nPerform additional duties and assignments as requested/assigned.\n\nBuild strong internal partnerships, work collaboratively with other Egan groups to support Egans Mission, Vision and Values.\n\nOccasional travel to job sites for meetings with field leaders, site verification and job site meetings.\n\nRequirements\n\nFour-year degree in either Architectural or Electrical Engineering.\n\nTwo or four-year degree in Electrical Construction Design & Management preferred, but not required.\n\nMinimum of four years of practical experience working in the construction or design-build field.\n\nEIT/FE certification/licensing preferred, but not required.\n\nQualifications\n\nWorking knowledge in Revit and AutoCAD software and the ability to learn and utilize company standards.\n\nSKM\n\nAbility to design electrical systems (power and lighting) and document them for permit and construction use.\n\nGeneral knowledge of all phases of a project, the required documentation, and the relationship between drawings and specifications.\n\nKnowledgeable with construction administration tasks like schedules, RFIs, punch-lists, etc.\n\nGeneral knowledge of local/State/Federal buildings, electrical and energy codes, and standards.\n\nStrong working knowledge in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite or Microsoft Office.\n\nDemonstrable organizational skills and able to perform tasks on multiple projects concurrently.\n\nCourteous, professional, diplomatic and highly motivated.\n\nAbility to adjust to changing priorities and methods.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nAbility to stand or sit for extended periods of time.\n\nExposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements are to be
