Facilities Engineer

Job Description The Senior Facilities / Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and supporting engineering activities to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role provides technical leadership for engineering design, risk assessment, operational support, process optimization, and facility improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, operational knowledge, and leadership capabilities while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesReview and evaluate engineering work performed internally and by contractors to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements.Support execution of engineering and design activities aligned with operational goals and project objectives.Participate in and lead risk assessments, HAZOP studies, Hazard Hunts, and Critical Operating Parameter Reviews.Lead incident investigations related to downtime, operational reliability, and process safety events.Identify operational improvement opportunities and support development of project scopes and execution plans.Conduct risk assessments for new and existing facilities and support closure of mitigation action items.Lead plant performance testing, operational trials, and optimization initiatives.Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures for facilities and operations.Provide technical support and coordination across engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams.Mentor and coach junior engineers and team members to support technical growth and knowledge sharing.Ensure accurate and timely communication regarding engineering progress, risks, and technical issues.Support troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
