Business Intelligence Architect
SUMMARY:
The role of Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for translating functional data and analytic requirements into solutions for consumption and use by the respective business or technology request or leveraging a variety of approved technologies. The incumbent will be required to develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks. This position will have the opportunity to guide others to leverage self-service techniques for business reporting and analytics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
Responsible in the identification of trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documentation for datasets.
Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
Work closely with line of business leaders to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.
Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
Assist with development, refinement, and maintenance of an Enterprise Data Warehouse and other databases through requirements gathering, project management, and documentation.
Create comprehensive documentation for data solutions including technical specifications and end user resources.
Completes annual compliance courses.
Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures. Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws; including, the Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Adheres to all levels of our Service Excellence standards.
Performs other duties as required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Experience: These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
Strong SQL, Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
Time Management, Organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to analyze business requirements and provide effective data driven solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics.
Experience with database and model design.
Experience with Power BI Visualizations.
Programming experience with SQL, Power BI DAX.
Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, Power BI.
Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Three or more years of experience as a data analyst.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, visual concentration. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The environment is a professional office with standard office equipment.
