Reporting to the Safety Manager, the EHS Specialist will be the eyes and ears of the company in the field. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the project management team and field personnel. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day‑to‑day safety requirements.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nConduct job safety observations (SHARPs), incident investigations, and track corrective actions.\n\nLead and support all safety meetings, trainings, and compliance refreshers.\n\nMaintain accurate safety records including training, medical, DOT, and driver files.\n\nAnalyze safety data and report trends, deficiencies, and participation metrics.\n\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, DEQ, and corporate safety standards.\n\nOversee contractor qualifications, SDS maintenance, and quarterly hose testing.\n\nPartner with supervisors and clients to review and improve safe work practices.\n\nParticipate in facility audits, turnarounds, shutdowns, and client safety meetings.\n\nSupport hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees regarding safety protocols.\n\nSet up drug testing and physical testing for new hires and current employees.\n\nRemain available for flexible scheduling and after‑hours support during emergencies.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nDegree in Occupational Health & Safety or 5+ years of relevant experience with safety certification.\n\n5 years of experience in refineries, petrochemical plants, utilities, and industrial facilities.\n\nSolid knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations.\n\nSafety certifications such as SHEP, CSHO, COSS, or equivalent preferred.\n\nOSHA 10 Hour Course\n\nOSHA 30 Hour Course\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn company software systems.\n\nMust be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam and wear required PPE as needed.\n\nValid Driver's License\n\nTWIC Card required\n\nAbility to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, out in the elements, etc.).\n\nStreamTech is a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
