Date Posted: 2024-05-21 Country: United States of America Location: OT541: TFP - Florence, SC 1500 Otis Way, Florence, SC, 29501 USA Mechanical Engineering Structural Team Lead The Mechanical Engineering Structural Team Lead reports to the Director of Mechanical Engineering and owns and manages the Structural Engineering Subsystems for North America model product. The ME Structural Team Lead will lead a team of engineers and designers responsible for all activities related to their respective engineering subsystems. In addition to managing and resource planning, the team lead will be an ambassador for collaboration, employee development, innovation, ethics, and safety inside and out of their team. Responsibilities Team Leadership Collaboration Ability to develop and build a strong, cohesive team and be able to grow as a leader through relationships Work with PMO to drive release contents/dates for key programs/projects, act as a stakeholder for PDP and CNs Ability to with ensure delivery of key programs to target GR3/Start Spec Dates with Change Management Work with Peers to support evolving priorities with agile and efficient resource management Ability to build and grow through relationships Ability to incorporate insights from others Leadership Resource planning and management to meet program deliverables for the Team’s engineering subsystems including Platforming, Engineering Cost Reduction, Field Turnbacks, Code Compliance, NPI …etc. Ability to Build, Grow, and Develop a strong cohesive team of engineers and designers focused on ME Structural Subsystems Ability to understand and prioritize complex organizations goals Vision Develop and maintain product compliance, knowledge, and roadmaping of A17.1 and other standards with the Structural Team Responsible for the development and maintenance of subsystem dashboards and roadmaps Utilize OPXL tools to drive continuous improvement Technical Lead/Participate in SS dashboards and roadmapping Expert level knowledge and execution of engineering CN process Lead/Participate in SS dashboards and road-mapping Expert level knowledge and execution of the engineering CN process Demonstrated ability to work through technical problems from requirements management through implementing a solution Develop and maintain product compliance and knowledge of A17.1 and other standards Engineering Cost Reduction Planning and Pipelining FTB Management Key Skills Analytical and Problem Solving Collaboration Strong mechanical engineering design background 3D modeling experience - Creo / Pro Engineer Mechanical structural analysis with Ansys or other FEA Software Strong communication and leadership ability Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including MS Project Environmental Awareness Ability to Multitask, Adapt, and Prioritize Negotiation Self Confidence Accountability Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required Key Metrics Product and Employee Safety Product Quality Cost Competitiveness Installation Hours On Time Delivery of Key Projects Resource Planning and Roadmapping Employee Development Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 3+ Years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Apply today to join us and build what’s next!
