This role prepares and presents alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency, maintains elevated bar operations, and contributes to a seamless, high-touch member experience. The Bartender upholds the highest standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and service excellence.Essential Job DutiesPrepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all timesMaintain draft beer system, including troubleshooting issues, changing kegs, and replacing gas cylinders as neededPrepare fresh ingredients and garnishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with cocktail program standardsPrepare fresh juices, syrups, and other house-made ingredients for cocktail productionProduce large-format ice and monitor inventory levels to ensure consistent availability for serviceOperate bar television and house audio systems, including selecting channels, prioritizing live sporting events, and ensuring systems are turned on and off as needed for serviceMonitor inventory levels and assist with requisitioning and restocking all bar products and supplies, including liquor, wine, beer, soft drinks, juices, fresh ingredients, garnishes, and paper goodsAssists with and participates in monthly inventory counts.Follow proper opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, credit card processing, and reconciliation of chitsEnsure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all applicable laws and club policiesMaintain strong working knowledge of an ample beverage program, including wines by the glass, beer selections, and a diverse spirits portfolioProvide recommendations and engage with members to enhance the guest experienceCoordinate with service staff and management to ensure timely and accurate beverage serviceMaintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for bar areas, equipment, and glasswareVerify pool tables, foosball table, and dart board are in proper working order and ready for useAssist with setup and service for special events and private functionsFlex between bartender and server roles based on business needs, maintaining consistent service standards and supporting overall floor operationsReport maintenance issues, inventory shortages, or operational concerns to managementPerform other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsMinimum 2-3 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or private clubKnowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beerAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift and carry 85 lbs, and move kegs and bar stock as neededBasic math and cash handling skillsMust meet all legal requirements for alcohol serviceMust possess a valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificationMust possess a valid California Food Handler CardPreferred QualificationsExperience with craft cocktail programs and fresh ingredient preparationFamiliarity with POS systemsWine, beer and spirits knowledge (certifications a plus)Experience in private clubs or fine dining environmentsRequired DocumentsResumeHiring Range$23.00 - $34.00 per hourThe salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
