The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate, upcoming spring semester graduate, or an engineer with up to a few years of experience, who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, and work in a professional fast-paced environment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nWork semi-independently\nPossess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nAble to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment\nPossess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred\nPositive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale\n\nQualifications\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE\nRequirements Include:\nA bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a Civil or Architectural Engineering degree with an emphasis on structures\nCoursework or experience in concrete and steel design\nRegistration as an E.I.T.\nAdditional Education and Experience Preferred (not required) Include:\nA master’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a Civil or Architectural Engineering degree with an emphasis on structures\n1-3 years professional work experience\nExperience with AutoCAD and/or Revit\nExperience with structural analysis software\nExperience with masonry and/or timber design\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nCoffman Engineers is a company that truly focuses on its employees.
