This facility is making significant investments in advanced manufacturing, with the goal of automating material handling, production, packaging, and other key manufacturing processes.\nThis is a highly visible, hands-on engineering role where you'll own automation projects from concept through commissioning. We're looking for engineers who enjoy building new automation solutions, integrating robotic systems, and seeing projects through to production launch—not just maintaining existing equipment.\nResponsibilities\nLead robotic automation projects from concept, design, and integration through commissioning and production launch.\nProgram, integrate, and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nIntegrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, conveyors, sensors, and other automation equipment.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics and assist with controls integration.\nCollaborate with Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and Maintenance teams throughout project execution.\nCoordinate with contractors and equipment vendors during installations and startup activities.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by implementing new automation technologies and optimizing manufacturing processes.\nProvide technical support during equipment launches and production issues when necessary.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in robotics, controls, or industrial automation (3–4 years considered with demonstrated project ownership).\nProven experience leading and commissioning robotic automation projects from start to finish.\nHands-on experience with industrial robots such as Universal Robots (UR), FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar platforms.\nExperience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, and ladder logic.\nAbility to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and prints.\nExperience integrating robotic systems into manufacturing environments.\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAutomotive or other high-volume manufacturing experience.\nVision system experience (Keyence, Cognex, Sick, Sensopart, or similar).\nExperience commissioning robotic work cells.\nBackground in material handling, packaging automation, conveyor systems, or automated assembly.\nExperience supporting Industry 4.0 or smart manufacturing initiatives.\nWhat We're Looking For\nThe ideal candidate has experience owning automation projects—not simply supporting them.
