Team members have opportunities to spend time on the final product developing, validating, and tuning the system.You will deliver embedded software for the Drivetrain Electronics team, which is responsible for transmission controls of large agricultural tractors. The software will provide customers with features that add value to their operation while meeting functional safety goals.You will become deeply knowledgeable about the features of the system to support current products and develop future designs.Required Skills/ExperienceDemonstrated technical problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated expertise in developing embedded applications using C, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar applications.Demonstrated expertise in applying control theory.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.Experience writing and reviewing software requirements.Experience with a software development process for embedded applications.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Desired Skills/ExperienceExperience relating to the design/diagnostics of transmission, mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.Strong passion for embedded engineering and learning new technologies.Experience with control systems design and analysis on agricultural applications.Experience with model-based software development tools.Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets.Experience with continuous integration development and automated build tools.Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators.Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.Experience using laboratory equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.EducationIdeally, you will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience in:Software EngineeringComputer EngineeringComputer ScienceElectrical EngineeringMechanical EngineeringThe manager is open to considering recent graduate candidates.Work DetailsOnsite only — no remote option.Business casual dress code.Metatarsal safety shoes required on the first day.Interview preference: Teams interviews using cameras.This position will involve operating agricultural tractors during testing.
