Apartment Leasing Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and dynamic Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current residents. This role requires a thorough understanding of leasing processes, legal regulations, and property management operations to ensure smooth and compliant leasing activities. The Leasing Consultant will play a vital role in representing our community and fostering an inviting environment for potential residents.
Responsibilities
Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, highlighting features and amenities to facilitate leasing decisions
Manage the leasing process from inquiry to lease signing, including application screening and approval procedures
Maintain accurate records of leads, showings, applications, and lease agreements using Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC guidelines, Section 8 policies, and other legal requirements
Handle tenant inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
Assist with marketing efforts by upselling available units and promoting community features to prospective residents
Prepare lease contracts, negotiate terms within legal guidelines, and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding property upkeep and repairs as needed
Conduct data entry, filing, and administrative tasks related to leasing activities and resident records
Stay informed on local landlord-tenant law changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and effective conflict management
Qualifications
Proven experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and manage conflicts professionally
Familiarity with legal administrative processes related to leases, contracts, and landlord-tenant law
Effective negotiation skills with a focus on upselling units while adhering to legal standards
Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative support functions
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of facilities management or property maintenance processes is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
