Successful Forward Deployed Engineers demonstrate competency in integrating advanced technologies into existing business processes, building new functionality, ensuring successful software deployments, and working closely with customers. This role requires a combination of technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to quickly turn ideas into production caliber code. This role will work as part of the Sales Engineering team and engage directly with customers on-site, in a hybrid format, or remotely, as required by each customer including the potential for occasional short-term travel to customer locations across the United States. This position requires an active Secret clearance. Responsibilities Providing direct support to the multiple customers, this Forward Deployed Engineer will:\nWork closely with customers to integrate the LIGER GenAI platform into their existing business processes.\nBuild new functionalities and enhancements within the LIGER platform to meet specific customer needs.\nEnsure successful deployment and initial configuration of the LIGER platform, supporting customers for 60-180 days post-sale before transitioning the deployment to a long-term project team.\nEngage directly with customers in various formats, including in-person, hybrid, or remote work as required by the customer.\nConduct proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase LIGER's capabilities and its value to potential and existing customers.\nDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of the LIGER platform's capabilities and limitations to guide solution development.\nProvide technical consulting, guidance, and support throughout the integration and deployment phases.\nRapidly build new features into or around LIGER's core platform to meet customer-specific needs and feedback. Work closely with the core product team to integrate new features into the product.\nDocument and communicate customer requirements and feedback to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with customer priorities.\nAssist in troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues, providing timely and effective solutions.\nTravel occasionally to customer locations within the United States for direct engagements and support.\nWork collaboratively with internal teams including product management, engineering, and support to deliver seamless solutions to customers.\nQualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nActive Secret clearance\nAdvanced proficiency in Python.\nExtensive experience with PostgreSQL.\nHands on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies solving real problems\nProven experience working with the MEAN Stack and full stack development in typescript.\nExperience with Angular and developing web applications.\nStrong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitLab.\nFamiliarity with cloud computing deployment models, especially AWS GovCloud and/or working within a DoD or federal environment.\nDemonstrated ability to integrate software solutions with existing business processes, including the ability to interact effectively with APIs.\nKnowledge of software development lifecycle and security principles.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives from government and industry.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.\nWillingness and availability for occasional travel based on project requirements.\nDESIRED SKILLS\nTOP SECRET clearance preferred.\nProven ability to work quickly and independently as part of a small team of engineers to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions.\nExperience in sales engineering within the federal government sector, with a deep understanding of federal customers' unique challenges and requirements.\nExpertise in developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders and fostering long-term customer partnerships.\nAbility to clearly communicate the value and benefits of technical solutions to non-technical audiences.\nAbility to provide strategic input on product enhancements and development based on market trends and customer feedback.\nFamiliarity with DoD Cybersecurity requirements and vulnerability management concepts.\nExperience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and utilizing tools such as GitLab.\nFamiliarity with container orchestration engines such as Kubernetes (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, Kops, OpenShift).\nProficiency with MCP Server and experience building MCP tools.\nHands-on experience in containerizing applications.\nStrong background in Unix/Linux operating systems.\nHigh energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to effectively interact with senior executives from both government and industry.\nExperience with leadership, management, and providing issue resolution and expert guidance to teams.\nKnowledge of AWS products and capabilities, with specific experience in GovCloud environments.\nMarathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
