Their focus is to achieve optimum results and drive improvements in safety, environmental, quality, cost and reliability by leveraging the full value of all employees. This is a salaried exempt rotating shift position. It is designated as a Safety Critical role.\n\nINEOS Pigments USA, Inc. - Ashtabula Complex located in Ashtabula, OH consists of two facilities – Plant 1 and Plant 2 – that safely and efficiently produces titanium dioxide pigment (TiO₂) and titanium chemicals products. The company is one of the largest producers of TiO₂, a bright white powder made from titanium ore. Titanium dioxide is a unique material delivering an unparalleled refractive index value, making it ideal for applications where opacity is required. TiO₂ makes possible opacity, brightness and durability in a variety of end uses like coatings, plastics and paper.\n\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure the safe, productive and efficient operations of the Plant 2 South operations\nCommunicate plant goals, policies, and standards ensuring accountability\nDevelop operations personnel through coaching, feedback, and unit assignments conducting periodic performance reviews as needed\nDrive continuous improvement to optimize plant operations\nFoster teamwork across the shifts and with all other functional groups to ensure that activities are well-aligned with maximum impact\nDevelops, coordinates and issues daily direction to shift personnel ensuring all day-to-day plant objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability and productivity are met\nDirects emergency response efforts when needed\nCoordinates training on safety and operating procedures\nEnsures that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect\nOther duties as assigned\nLevel of education & experience in general\nMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.\nHigher level education and leadership training a plus.\nA minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience is desired to ensure a strong understanding of operating environments and plant processes\nExperience in a leadership role is desired to develop and demonstrate the leadership competencies required\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nConsistently demonstrate high standards and model the appropriate behaviors\nStrong working knowledge of safety, environmental and emergency response requirements\nFunctionality with various computer programs (SAP, word, excel, etc.)\nTechnical skills\nOperational Safety: Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site\nOperational Processes: Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for chemical processing, mining or minerals processing\nPlant Operations: Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a production plant or mine site\nQuality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques used to create and support an environment that meets the needs of the organization\nEmployee Health and Safety: Knowledge of the procedures and programs in place in the\norganization to ensure employee safety (occupational health, fire safety and emergency\nresponse plan);
