Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data. Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications. Implement system software and customize it to client requirements. Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans. Code new programs to clients' specifications and create test data for testing. Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs. Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation. Provide quality assurance reviews. Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing. Skills: Experience with Java, Python, C++, and other programming languages. Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CMSs. Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary. Devotion to continuing education on an annual basis. Performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems. Problem diagnosis and resolution. Large systems software design and development.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required. 5 to 7 years of experience is required. A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.\r\nRequired Skills\r\n2-6 years of Java development experience\r\nSolid understanding of testing practices, mocking, TDD\r\nGood understanding of coding principles\r\nFamiliarity with dependency injection/inversion of control\r\nFamiliarity with general database principles and ORM tools\r\nPrevious experience performing code reviews\r\nSolid experience with RESTful principles and/or web services\r\nExperience with Modern continuous integration, build, and version control tools\r\nExperience with Design Patterns and good design principles\r\nAdditional Knowledge & Skills\r\nModern Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate\r\nOracle or other SQL-based databases\r\nTesting tools like JUnit, and Mockito.\r\nWeb UI frameworks and languages like Angular, and JavaScript.\r\nContinuous integration tools like Team City and build tools like Ant or Maven.\r\nPosition is remote in the US only\r\nStrong candidates with more or less experience are welcome to apply.
