Medica is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial Services team in Minnetonka, MN. This role provides analytical support in the areas of pricing, forecasting, reserving, and financial reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.\n\nKey Accountabilities\n\nAssist in the preparation of financial models, pricing structures, and reserve estimates to support business decisions\n\nPerform data analysis and validation using actuarial and statistical techniques\n\nContribute to the development of reports, exhibits, and presentations for leadership and regulatory bodies\n\nSupport actuarial projects related to product development, trend analysis, and risk management\n\nEnsure accuracy and compliance with actuarial standards, regulatory requirements, and Medica policies\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Underwriting, and Product Development\n\nContinue professional development through actuarial exams and on-the-job learning\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field\n\n0-1 years of experience beyond degree\n\nSuccessful completion of 1 Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, SAS, R, or Python is a plus\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team\n\nThis position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.\n\nThe full salary grade for this position is $62,700 - $107,500. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $62,700 - $94,080. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
