The AOUSC is responsible for providing oversight, supervision, and coordination of the court and judicial case management systems. These systems include the Judiciary’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) and Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) systems.\n\nGDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career. The Database Administrator will work as part of the PACER Development team responsible for developing, operating, and supporting internal and external systems that allow for secure public access to court electronic records for the Judiciary.\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, operating, maintaining, and providing Tier 3 support for enabling services for CM/ECF and PACER.\n\nThe Database Administrator will execute the following responsibilities:\n\nProvide full operational lifecycle support of Informix, MySQL and other databases including administration, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning and security. This encompasses routine updates, monitoring, deployment activities, error diagnostics and correction, data extraction, and the remediation of all security findings.\nWork with enterprise DBAs to install, configure, secure, maintain, deploy, and support databases which reside on enterprise systems.\nDevelop templates and implement standard configurations for all databases.\nConfigure, maintain, and support Enterprise Replication services where required.\nMonitor database health and actively mitigate potential issues and downtime.\nImplement changes in all environments through approved change management processes. This includes after business hours work for changes to production systems.\nParticipate in the design and implementation of changes to new and existing database schemas.\nParticipate in the planning and implementation of data migration strategies.\nWrite SQL queries to extract data to support program and stakeholder requests.\nWork with enterprise administrators to ensure that databases are being backed up and perform annual recovery tests.\nCollaborate with Data Platform Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, Security teams, and app teams.\nEnsure DB environments comply with all security, privacy, governance, & regulatory requirements.\nPreferred Experience: Informix, MySQL\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nMA/MS degree with 5+ years or BS/BA degree with 7+ years of general experience in IT systems.\nStrong experience administering cloud database platforms, including Informix and MySQL.\nExpertise in SQL, performance tuning, workload management, and database optimization.\nExperience operating databases in AWS or hybrid cloud environments.\nProven ability to automate database administration using IaC and scripting .\nFamiliarity with federal security, compliance, and audit requirements.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with technical and business teams.\nEffective communication and documentation skills.\nKnowledge of modern monitoring/observability tools and CI/CD workflows.\nExperience applying industry best practices and emerging data platform technologies.\nConsultant mindset and ability to work with stakeholders to define and improve database operations.\nTools & Technologies: Informix, MySQL, RDS, monitoring/observability tools.\n\nCERTIFICATIONS (Required)\n\nIBM Database Certification\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n\n7 + years of related experience\n\n* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\n\nCertification\n\nIBM Database Certification - IBM\n\nTravel Required\n\nNone\n\nSalary and Benefit Information\n\nThe likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
