ACVSoftware EngineeringDallas, TX, USAUSD 20-30 / hourPosted on Jun 5, 2026Apply nowJob SummaryThe Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and helping prevent problems with vehicle performance and ensure that vehicles operate in a safe, reliable manner.Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesWorks with the manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.May perform test drivers, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exists and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes.Repairing damage to the body of the vehicle and washing and painting the vehicle’s exterior.Supports generating timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with clients.Inspects internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.Maintains accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history.Uses shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Experience & EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent Two years of auto technician experienceKnowledge & SkillsProven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions.Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to interact with others effectively; work as a team; good interpersonal skillsAble to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job dutiesAbility to communicate diplomaticallyProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.The likely compensation range for this position is listed in the "Job Details" section at the bottom of this posting. This position pays a base rate of $12.50 per hour plus additional compensation calculated as a "flag rate" based on completed work.
