Payroll Specialist
Position: Payroll SpecialistLocation: Century City, CA (Hybrid, fully onsite during training, then eligible to transition to hybrid)Pay: $90,000 to $110,000 annuallyExperience: 3+ years of experience working with ADP and ADP Reporting.Type: Full-time; Direct HireSchedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pmKent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic law firm client!Job DescriptionReport to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for processing payroll for bi-weekly and monthly pays for 200 exempt and non-exempt personnel; calculate and process monthly and quarterly special pays.Input and maintain insurance, 401(k), and other payroll deductions.Maintain timecards and calculate meal penalties. Calculate final payouts and support documentation package. Ensure accuracy of employee set-up, payroll earnings, and set up new codes. Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns; reconcile payroll-related accounts. Prepare support schedules (including preliminary profit share schedules for outside actuarial testing). Perform compliance analysis; support schedules for Workers' Compensation and other audits. Maintain lead sheets related to payroll general ledger accounts and GL mapping. ADP Payroll reporting for compliance reporting, budgeting, staffing surveys, and ad hoc needs. Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management; quarterly and year-end tie-out to tax filings; and special project work with the CFO, Controller, and Accounting Team.Position RequirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
