This position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and the seating flow, answering phone calls, assisting with large-party and private-event reservations, and maintaining clear communication with servers and restaurant management.\n\nWe are looking for someone who is organized, personable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.\n* Seat guests according to reservations, guest preferences, table availability, and proper rotation of server sections.\n* Manage the waitlist and provide guests with accurate estimated wait times.\n* Manage reservations and confirm large-party reservations at the beginning of each shift.\n* Answer restaurant phone calls promptly and professionally.\n* Assist guests with general questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, takeout, catering, and private events.\n* Follow Company procedures for documenting and communicating large-party and private-event inquiries.\n* Communicate reservation notes, birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, allergies, and other relevant information to Servers and Managers.\n* Coordinate with Management, Servers, Expo, and Kitchen regarding large parties and special events.\n* Maintain accurate and organized reservation and seating information throughout the shift.\n* Maintain the host station clean, organized, and properly stocked.\n* Ensure menus are clean, organized, and ready for service.\n* Monitor inventory of host-station supplies, gift cards, gift card covers, and other assigned materials.\n* Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest service areas, including tables, chairs, booths, entry areas, windows, and restrooms as assigned.\n* Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.\n* Learn the menu and restaurant services to accurately answer basic guest questions.\n* Become familiar with regular guests and help provide a personalized dining experience.\n* Report equipment, maintenance, cleanliness, or operational concerns to Management.\n* Attend required meetings and training sessions.\n* Support other Front of House team members as needed to maintain smooth restaurant operations.\n* Follow all Limón Restaurant policies, procedures, service standards, and safety requirements.\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Previous Host/Hostess, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.\n* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n* Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.\n* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n* Basic knowledge of restaurant service and dining room operations preferred.\n* Ability to learn reservation and restaurant management systems.\n* High school diploma or GED preferred.\n* Must obtain and maintain required food safety and other applicable certifications.\n* Must be available to work *weekends, evenings, and holidays*.\n\n*Physical Requirements*\n\n* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to approximately 8 hours.\n* Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and move throughout the restaurant.\n* Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 25 pounds.\n* Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n*Benefits:*\n\n* *Tips in addition to hourly pay*\n* Employee dining discounts at Limón Restaurant locations, subject to Company policy and eligibility guidelines\n* Flexible scheduling\n* Paid training\n* Employee meals during eligible shifts, in accordance with Company policy\n* Career development and growth opportunities\n\n*What We’re Looking For*\n\nThe ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people and understands that great hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door.
