The company delivers investment, relationship, and practice management solutions that advisors use to help clients achieve wealth, independence, and purpose.\r\nLocation & Hybrid Work This position requires a hybrid work schedule and is located close to our Charlotte, NC office.\r\nResponsibilities Operate and support core Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity, logging/monitoring) to meet uptime and SLA expectations and perform root cause analysis and prevention/remediation.\r\nTroubleshoot production cloud issues, restore service, and drive operational improvements while maintaining clear runbooks and resolution documentation.\r\nManage and improve cloud tagging, logging, alerting, and overall operational standards.\r\nAdminister and evolve Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) as a core platform, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, configuration standards, capacity scaling, and operational readiness.\r\nPartner with Application and Data Engineering teams to enable secure deployment patterns on AKS for both application and AI/agent workloads.\r\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and Bicep, contributing reusable modules and standardized patterns.\r\nCreate script-level automation for cloud operations and deployments using PowerShell and/or Python.\r\nTroubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures and improve release workflow reliability across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.\r\nOperate and enhance monitoring, alerting, logging standards and dashboards using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and OpenTelemetry practices.\r\nProvide operational support for Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and related access controls, collaborating with Security/Network teams on guardrails.\r\nSupport compliance readiness (SOC-aligned controls) through standards, evidence-friendly configuration, and disciplined change practices.\r\nProvide secondary operational support for the data platform, including Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, partnering with Data Engineering/DBA teams as needed.\r\nOwn cloud cost optimization activities: tagging standards, cost allocation visibility, budget alerts, cost anomaly investigation, and continuous tuning.\r\nSupport Azure-hosted AI workloads and Microsoft Foundry services with focus on secure access controls, secrets management, observability, and guardrails.\r\nContribute to AI-assisted engineering workflows.\r\nQualifications 4+ years of supporting cloud platforms and production operations (Azure-centric).\r\nStrong hands-on Azure experience across foundational services (compute, storage, networking, App Service, managed services).\r\nExperience with AKS/Kubernetes operations, including cluster administration concepts, upgrades, scaling, and reliability.\r\nInfrastructure as Code: Terraform (modules/patterns) and familiarity with Bicep.\r\nProficiency with scripting/automation in PowerShell and/or Python.\r\nMonitoring and troubleshooting with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; familiarity with OpenTelemetry concepts.\r\nExperience with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and secure deployment patterns with Security/Network teams.\r\nExperience operating AI/agent services on Kubernetes, including guardrails and observability.\r\nFamiliarity with Snowflake, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL operational support.\r\nBachelor's degree in IT or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).\r\nAzure certifications valued: Azure Administrator Associate; Azure Solutions Architect preferred.\r\nBenefits Base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000.\r\nEligible for variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.\r\nHybrid work schedule.\r\nHealth, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, and other benefits.\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer AssetMark is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
