The role works together with other disciplines to develop a fit-for-purpose manufacturing system by applying creative, cost-effective solutions, without ever compromising safety. In this role the individual is responsible for day-to-day production support, including troubleshooting, as well as development of process control strategies and data collection systems used to monitor and continuously improve operations.\n\nBy combining strong analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and an ability to explain and document processes, this role ensures process design is per industry’s best practices and compliant with applicable codes & standards. The successful candidate is enthusiastic about process control and process safety, self-motivated, able to handle multiple assignments and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering organization.\n\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDevelops and maintains a detailed understanding of Plug Power products and related manufacturing objectives and constraints.\nSupport day-to-day coating operations by providing robust processes and process control parameters for consistent results.\nProvide direct support in troubleshooting of production coating process issues, driving fast root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions.\nEnsures processes comply with applicable process safety codes & standards.\nDevelops and maintains capacity models including documentation reflecting current and future state.\nChampions and facilitates the engineering change process and all relevant communication/documentation.\nActively participates in design reviews and engineering development/NPI activities.\nClosely collaborates with process engineers in other Plug operations.\nMentor team members and act as technical resource for guidance in their area of expertise.\nResponsible for clear and correct engineering documentation.\nResponsible for handling technical communication with internal and external engineering parties.\nResponsible for the technical review of supplier quotations.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline preferred and/or relevant work experience.\n5-10 years of experience in process engineering. Coating experience preferred.\nExperience documenting and developing robust process control methods.\nProven track record of helping to drive manufacturing improvement projects.\nFamiliar with applicable functional safety standards.\nUncompromising dedication to product quality.\n\n#HP\n\nPay Rate:\n\n$92,300.00 - $138,400.00\n\nWe offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:\n✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
