A Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various packaging machinery (form fill baggers, case packer, cartons formers, printers, etc.)\nEssential Duties:\nEfficiently operate various packaging equipment by carrying out machine, product quality, line performance\nPerform machine assembly and disassembly as required.\nUtilize Redzone as prescribed by the Redzone Administrator that includes but not limited to:\nMonitor performance.\nReport all material defects.\nEffectively perform all scheduled inspections\nMaximize product and packaging material yields meeting standards.\nMaintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.\nAssist in trouble shooting their equipment.\nFollow established safety rules and regulations.\nCarries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable SOP's.\nPerform other duties, jobs or tasks assigned at any area by management to maximize production performance and reduce costs.\nEducation & Experience / Skills & Abilities:\nMinimum Education Required:\nHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.\nCertifications / Licenses / Specialized Trainings Required:\nNone\nTotal Yrs. of Experience Required:\n1 year is preferred\nSkills & Abilities:\nGeneral knowledge of baggers and scales, preferable: Ilapak, Pacmac, Ishida.\nWork in a fast pace high volume environment adaptable to changing priorities to meet schedule demands.\nPossess a mechanical aptitude.\nWork in a team environment to achieve performance goals.\nMust be flexible to work different shifts as needed.\nAbility to perform basic math calculations.\nHave good oral and written communication skills.\nSustain a positive mental attitude and support company directives.\nWorking Conditions & Physical Demands:\nWorking conditions consist of regular exposure to cold, wet floor manufacturing environments (34-36 degrees F) with slight odors of chlorine and peracetic acid.
