(LCI) is currently accepting applications for an\nexperienced Project Manager / Estimator to provide project estimating and contract\nmanagement for civil construction contracts throughout Idaho and neighboring states.\nBlasting experience is a plus but is not required. LCI will provide direct oversight,\ncontinued education and mentoring to the successful candidate The position is based in\nWendell, ID.\nLCI has been providing drilling and blasting services for construction and quarry work,\nrock trenching and crushing services for our customers for more than 30 years.\nThis position is expected to source, estimate and manage assigned projects and\ncommunicate all pertinent information to operations for project build out. The ideal\ncandidate for this position will act as the primary customer contact for assigned projects\nand communicate all project details and information to the Operations Manager for\nproject buildout. In addition, the position will lead the implementation of GPS and\nsoftware selection to design project site overlays and blast design layout. This position\nwill spend approximately 50% of the time in the office and 50% time in the field on\nproject sites.\nResponsibilities.\nThe position reports directly to the General Manager and is accountable for all work as assigned.\nEfficient time management and proven management skills are required\nAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specifications as they apply to our scope of work, manage all project submittal and reporting requirements.\nMaintain and organize project files for all work-related items\nProvide project bidding estimates to General Manager for review and submittal, solicit new work to bid and develop new customer relationships while maintaining existing customer relationships in a professional manner. Assist with other tasks as assigned by the General Manager.\nAssist in designing and submitting blast and work plans for approval.\nCost estimating\nProvide all project management functions as required and provide effective communication to Operations.\nMaintain and develop customer contacts and relationships\nEnsure quality and compliance with high standards of work meeting or exceeding the expectations of our customers.\nReporting and tracking project status\nLimited travel (overnight) is required.\nAssist General Manager with recruiting, training and educating employees in proper operating procedures and techniques.\nProvide input to General Manager as requested regarding future company growth, technology advancements etc.\nQualifications.\nBachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience in civil construction is preferred but not required, adequate field experience and previous employment in a similar position are acceptable.
