The Maintenance Manager will perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems as necessary.\nOversees and performs the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.\nEvaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.\nAssesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.\nEnsures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.\nEnsure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the ride manufacturer's preventative maintenance programs.\nEnsure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.\nEnsure that all waterpark rides are inspected daily, weekly, and monthly.\nPrepare all required paperwork as necessary.\nManage and assist with tasks related to audits and inspections by outside agencies.\nOperates, maintains, and services all related pumps, motors, valves, vessels, filters, chemical feed equipment, and other miscellaneous mechanical and electrical equipment. Assigns and supervises other associates in the same.\nEnsure the waterpark is maintained so that guests are not inconvenienced because of repairs.\nResponsible for coordination and execution of safe work practices.\nMaintain cleanliness in all work areas.\nMaintain records of all activities performed during the shift.\nPerform required tests and chemical analysis on water.\nMust work shifts as needed and must be available for on-call status for emergencies, as directed by management.\nMaintain an accurate inventory of supplies for the waterpark and make purchases when necessary with manager approvals.\nFill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.\nComplete and stay current in all training as required by Human Resources and the waterpark maintenance and qualifications requirements.\nUnderstand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs of the Company.\nOther duties as deemed appropriate by the management team.\n\nCompetencies\nExtensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.\nExcellent management and supervisory skills.\nMust be able to convey information and ideas clearly.\nMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems, as necessary.\nMust be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by associates, supervisors, department heads, Senior Management, and guests.\nMust be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries, and complaints.\nAbility to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.\nMust demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to develop his/her career within the department.\nBe knowledgeable of policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.\nFully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the associates and guests.\nFully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county and municipal regulations that pertain to rides safety, inspections, and yearly inspection with all authorities.\nRequirements:\n\nPreferred Education and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nAt least one year of maintenance experience required.\nAt least one year waterpark maintenance experience, preferred.\nHVAC, Plumbing and Electric experience, preferred.\n\nLICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED or have the ability to obtain: CPO certification.\n\nGeneral Qualifications:\nMust be able to traverse property, equipment and facility to diagnose building or ride issues and plan repairs or maintenance.\nMust be physically able to perform repairs when needed.\nMay be required to stand for long periods of time.\nPossible heavy workloads; exerting over 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or other wise move objects.\nBending, stooping, kneeling, reaching involved.\nMust be able to work in warm/humid settings and hot/humid weather for outdoor waterpark environments.\nBe able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.\nMay be required to be exposed to all types of weather.\nMust be able to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
