Apply through gbsdjobs.com\n\nJob Summary:\n\nThe \"Program Director\" will work with the Director of Student Support Services and other Program Directors to implement and support Special Education programs and 504 Plan compliance in the Gresham-BarlowSchool District.\n\nCOMPENSATION:\nContract 235 Days; Start Date October 2026.\nSalary Range: $123,628 � $139,145 plus benefits package.\nThis position is not part of a bargaining unit and reports directly to the Superintendent.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\n\nOversee all program development and operations for the assigned programs under the guidance of the Director of Student Support Services:\n\nOversight includes:\n\nAttending special services team meetings in schools, as needed\nLocating needed resources for staff and students beyond what is available in schools\nObserving students in classrooms and recommending effective interventions\nWorking with principals on assigned program area development, planning and support\nSupporting and assisting in training educational assistants in assigned programs\nCommunicating with other agencies and individuals on behalf of assigned programs, as needed\nArranging for and providing inservice training based upon program needs\nDeveloping, implementing and training on policies and procedures in assigned program areas\nWorking with Director of Student Support Services to identify program needs\nBudget planning for assigned programs\nDesigning, planning and coordinating staff development opportunities for licensed and classified staff\nCoordinating , meeting with, and guiding district connection with other districts and MESD for assigned areas\nOverseeing educational assistant support for students with disabilities in the general education setting\nServing as a resource regarding legal issues and for conflict resolution purposes\nAt the request of the principal, case manager, or Director of Student Support Services handling cases having unique demands\nEvaluating certified and classified staff for assigned programs and providing input to the Director of Student Support Services and school administration in the hiring, supervision and evaluation of licensed and classified staff in assigned programs not evaluated by the Office of Student Support Services\nPerforming other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services\n\nEssential Job Requirement � Qualifications\n\nHolds an Oregon Administrative license or has the potential of earning one by start date\nA minimum of 3 years experience working with students with disabilities\nKnowledge of Regular and Special Education Law\nEffective and demonstrated skills in:\nLeadership\nPlanning, development and evaluating special education programs\nCommunication, both in writing and orally\nConflict resolution\nMediation\nInterpersonal skills with individuals, teams and groups (student, parent, educator, specialist, administrator and support staff)\nWorking collaboratively with various groups within the school and in the community\nProviding curriculum and instructional strategy consultation\nPresenting to small and large groups for staff development\nTime management\nProblem-solving and development of solutions\nPlanning and facilitating meetings\nGaining consensus in groups and among varied audiences\n\nNote: This is not necessarily an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, functions or working conditions associated with the job.
