POSITION: Environmental Services & Infection Prevention Manager DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services HOURS: Full-time/Exempt SALARAY RANGE: $66,913.60 - $92,102.40 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Environmental Services & Infection Prevention Manager oversees all environmental services operations and leads the facility’s infection prevention and control program. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains a clean and safe environment, and supports reduction of healthcare-associated infections through surveillance, education, policy development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Associate degree with equivalent experience considered. Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) preferred or must be obtained within three years of hire. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or obtained within 24 months of hire. SKILL(S): Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Knowledge of CDC, APIC, OSHA, and CMS regulatory standards. Ability to develop and evaluate EVS and infection control policies and protocols. Competence in data analysis, reporting, and infection surveillance software. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to educate staff on cleaning protocols, precautions, and infection prevention. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare environmental services management preferred. Experience in infection prevention and control preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience required preferred. Experience leading regulatory survey readiness and compliance activities.
