As our Ground Operations Technician, you will work side-by-side with the Site Manager, engineering team, and reliability team to prepare test pads and facilities for equipment load-in, support hardware installation and testing, and serve as an extra set of hands wherever the crew needs one. This is a hands-on, physical role for someone who is comfortable operating heavy machinery, thrives on a fast-moving test pad, and takes safety seriously given the energetic materials involved.\r\nKey Responsibilities Work alongside the Site Manager and crew of engineers to prepare test pads and facilities for equipment load-in and load-out\r\nSet up and break down test configurations, staging areas, and temporary infrastructure ahead of test events\r\nSupport installation, positioning, and rigging of skids, process equipment, and test hardware at ATP and customer sites\r\nDrive and operate heavy machinery and material handling equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, cranes) to move and place equipment\r\nServe as an extra set of hands for the engineering and reliability teams during setup, testing, and teardown\r\nAssist with rigging, hoisting, and safe movement of heavy or sensitive equipment and components\r\nEnsure the test pad is fully ready ahead of scheduled test events, flagging any readiness gaps to the Site Manager and engineering team\r\nSupport hardware-in-the-loop testing, commissioning, and factory/site acceptance testing alongside engineers\r\nFollow and help enforce site safety protocols, especially those specific to handling and testing energetic materials\r\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe test pad and field work environment\r\nKeep punch lists, equipment logs, and as-built/as-run documentation accurate and up to date\r\nRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school training a plus\r\n2+ years of hands-on experience in ground operations, field service, industrial maintenance, or a similar physical/technical role\r\nExperience operating heavy equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, or similar); valid license/certification a plus\r\nComfortable with rigging, lifting, and moving heavy equipment safely\r\nAbility to work hands-on outdoors and in test pad, field, and plant environments in all weather conditions\r\nStrong attention to detail and follow-through on site readiness and safety\r\nAbility to work as part of a crew, take direction in a fast-paced test environment, and communicate issues clearly\r\nPreferred Qualifications EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) background or equivalent military/industrial explosives handling experience, given the nature of energetics production\r\nExperience supporting test operations, range operations, or launch/static-fire ground operations\r\nCrane and/or rigging certification (e.g., NCCCO, NCCER) or equivalent hands-on rigging experience\r\nExperience assembling or supporting skidded/modular equipment builds\r\nWorking knowledge of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, or site layout drawings\r\nExperience in defense, aerospace, energetics, or other regulated manufacturing environments\r\nAdditional Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs\r\nU.S. Person and ability to obtain a security clearance\r\nAbility to work on-site and travel as needed\r\nITAR Requirements This position requires access to information and technology protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
