The ideal candidate will be able to operate an overhead crane, read a tape measure, interpret prints and dimensional drawings, and operate multiple machines with similar programs. Previous experience operating similar machinery is preferred. Essential Duties:\n• Operate heavy fabrication machinery, including Drill Line, Angle Master, Big Saw, Plasma Cutter, and Plate Cutter.\n• Load and off-load materials using an overhead crane.\n• Measure and cut materials to predetermined lengths.\n• Read tape measures to determine material widths and thicknesses.\n• Interpret prints and dimensional drawings.\n• Operate multiple machines with similar programs or software.\n• Provide machine diagnostics and troubleshooting, including basic programming.\n• Perform routine machine maintenance and follow established safety procedures.\n• Maintain material control and complete required cut-list documentation.\n• Maintain good housekeeping and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.\n• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager. Requirements/Skills:\n• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.\n• 1–2 years of relevant machine operation experience.\n• Previous experience operating similar machines preferred.\n• Able to operate an overhead crane.\n• Able to read a tape measure for material widths and thicknesses.\n• Able to interpret prints and dimensional drawings.\n• Able to provide machine diagnostics and troubleshooting, including basic programming.\n• Able to operate multiple machines with similar programs.\n• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows-based systems.\n• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures. Physical Requirements:\n• Work is performed primarily in a fabrication shop environment.\n• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform activities involving walking, climbing, bending, and stooping.\n• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 45 pounds.\n• Ability to work around typical fabrication-shop hazards, including high noise levels, welding fumes, arc flash, debris, and grinding-related hazards.
