Activities Assistant - Cura of Monticello

Cura Health's Cura of Monticello facility is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support the development and implementation of engaging activities for our residents. This role focuses on enhancing the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents by assisting in organizing and facilitating a variety of recreational and therapeutic programs. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to create a warm, fun, and inclusive environment. If you have a passion for enriching the lives of others and enjoy working in a collaborative healthcare setting, we invite you to join our team at Cura of Monticello.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in, organizing, and conducting recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to the residents' interests and abilities.Engage residents in group and individual activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.Prepare and maintain activity areas, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth program delivery.Document resident participation and provide updates to the Activities Director and healthcare team.Collaborate with staff to address residents' preferences and needs.Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all activities and report any concerns promptly.RequirementsPrevious experience in activities assistance, recreational therapy, or similar roles preferred but not required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.Ability to engage effectively with elderly and special needs populations.Creativity and enthusiasm for developing diverse and meaningful activities.Physical ability to assist with activity set-up and participation.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive community for residents.Part time and Fulltime available!Every other weekend requirement to work.BenefitsPaid Time Off (Vacation & Sick)Training & Development$18.00-20.50/hourcasual/on-call
