This position will also work closely with community health organizations to facilitate the distribution of vaccine education material and information.\nThe Nevada State Immunization Program is seeking two (2) candidates to fill this position. This is a full-time contract position with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health’s Immunization Program. This position is grant-funded through December 31, 2024. Please note that contracted positions do not receive State of Nevada employee benefits (i.e., paid time off and health insurance).\nOne (1) position is located in Carson City, Nevada and will serve Northern Nevada.\n•* *One (1) position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada and will serve Southern Nevada.\nLocal and statewide travel is a requirement of this position.\nMonday – Friday; 8am – 5pm or other agreed upon arrangement that equals a 40-hour week.\nMust have a reliable mode of personal transportation.\nResponsibilities and Standards\nCommunity outreach to areas with high populations of uninsured Nevadans.\nProvide counseling on free and subsidized health insurance applications for uninsured Nevadans.\nWork closely with community health organizations to increase vaccine confidence among Nevadans.\nReport outcomes to program manager and assist with reports to the CDC.\nRequirements (Education, experience and/or professional licensure)\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, English, public or community relations, communications, or closely related field and two years of professional experience.
