If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you!\nAll of our meter readers are provided with:\nCompany vehicle provided\nFuel Card provided for vehicle\nCompetitive benefit package\n\nPaid training $18/hour for 10 days before transitioning to piece rate\nEarning potential to earn over $18/hour through our piece rate depending on amount of meters read!\nResponsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for reading and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing. May perform a visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.\nRequirements:\nValid driver’s license\nMust successfully pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving record\nMust be able to walk up to 10-15 miles a day in all weather conditions\nWorking Conditions and Hours:\nHours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm and some weekends as required\nOutdoor work environment including rain, snow, extreme cold, or high heat\nDriving company vehicle to and from work sites may be exposed to road related hazards.\nKnowledge and Abilities:\nSuccessfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests\nAttention to detail and accuracy to record meter data\nAbility to find locations/address by reading a map and handheld device and/or laptop.\nAbility to key data into handheld device and/or laptop.
