Job DescriptionDuties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in shipping, inventory receiving, inventory control, buyout receiving, quality control, order coordinator, loading and unloading shipments.Delivery/Pick Up driver as needed using company truckSchedule shortages on warehouse materials (ex: crating materials, pallets and crates for export orders in compliance for export regulations)Schedule maintenance and repairs for all warehouse equipment with Manager’s approvalBuilding & grounds maintenance at Chicago locationOSHA Certified Operator safety trainer for forklift, safety site, equipment safetyOperate socket weld machineryKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesProficient in performing all shipping and receiving functions and procedures.Good communication skills and be able to make decisions as well as excel at problem solving.Knowledge of AIV’s computer system, applications, and programs related to warehousing and inventoryingKnowledge of the company’s rules, procedures, and practices pertaining to warehousing, inventory control, and valves/materials distributionPrinciples of warehouse organizationPrinciples of warehouse safety and securityUse technology in the maintenance of an effective warehouseExpedite flow of materialsAnalyze work requirements and establish performance standardsAnalyze procedural problems and determine causes of errors or inefficiencyMaintain accurate records and prepare reports as neededConduct daily routine cycle countsEducation And QualificationsOSHA certified operator safety trainer certificate a plusCertification in import/export licensing a plusInventory Management and development training a plusForklift & Reach TruckCompany DescriptionAIV is an global master distributor of high-quality valves and actuators, selling through distribution only.
