The ideal candidates will have previous experience designing electric utility distribution systems and hands-on experience working with Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc.\n\nIn this role, you will use your existing distribution design knowledge to develop accurate, high-quality designs for new construction, system improvements, upgrades, and redevelopment projects. You will work closely with Project Coordinators, Engineers, and other Designers throughout various phases of projects, including field evaluation, design, analysis, construction documentation, and project closeout.\n\nCandidates should be comfortable working independently on assigned projects while collaborating with the broader project team to meet client standards, schedules, and quality expectations.\n\nTravel to regional job sites may be required approximately 20% of the time.\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\nUnder general supervision, you will:\n\n•\nDevelop electrical distribution designs in accordance with client standards, specifications, and applicable design requirements\n\n•\nUtilize Maximo, DDS, and SPIDAcalc to support distribution design, project documentation, pole loading analysis, and project workflow\n\n•\nPrepare designs for new construction, system upgrades, relocations, rebuilds, and other electrical distribution projects\n\n•\nReview field data and existing utility infrastructure to develop accurate and constructible designs\n\n•\nAnalyze reports, drawings, field information, and project requirements to plan and design distribution projects\n\n•\nPerform and review pole loading calculations using SPIDAcalc\n\n•\nCreate, revise, and maintain design drawings, sketches, redlines, and markups\n\n•\nInterpret and apply utility standards, design codes, specifications, and construction requirements\n\n•\nDetermine appropriate equipment, materials, and construction requirements based on project scope and client standards\n\n•\nReview design packages for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and quality\n\n•\nEnsure assigned projects remain within established scope, budget, and schedule\n\n•\nMaintain accurate project information and documentation within Maximo and other applicable project management systems\n\n•\nCoordinate with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Engineers, field personnel, and other Designers\n\n•\nComplete assigned projects within budgeted hours and established deadlines\n\n•\nParticipate in quality assurance and quality control reviews as needed\n\n•\nTravel to regional job sites in accordance with client and project requirements\n\nThis description is a general statement of required essential functions performed on a regular and continuous basis.
