As a die setter, you will perform a variety of operations including but not limited to:\nMaintains production tooling, as well as the pulling and setting up of jobs in production presses.\nCompletes set-up responsibility (i.e., new die set-up information).\nResponsible for pre-staging of all set-ups (tools, dies, chutes, clamping required, transfer fingers, grippers, Julian dates).\nLoad coils onto the mandrel and feed through the straightener and into the die.\nAssist team members when coils need re-banding and taken off press.\nEstablish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments.\nInitiate and sustain 5S opportunities.\nSupply tool room with necessary dies.\nOrganize die and coil storage area.\nResponsible for additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the supervisor.\nJob Competencies Needed:\nTo perform this position as a die setter successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
