Canine Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Canine Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for dogs in an outdoor farm settings. This role involves ensuring the well-being of the dogs on site, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and delivering outstanding customer service to dog owners. Join us in making a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners by providing exceptional care and support! Duties Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Administer medications as directed by dog owners or veterinarians. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs on site, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain cleanliness in dog areas, including kennels and play areas. Assist with dog training and behavioral assessments when necessary. Engage with dog owners to provide updates on their dogs' well-being and address any questions or concerns. Handle dogs safely and effectively, utilizing proper safety techniques when required. Perform heavy lifting as needed for larger dogs or equipment. Requirements Previous experience in animal care or handling is necessary, such as kennel, veterinary or animal training experience. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Familiarity with veterinary practices or having veterinary technician experience is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform animal grooming tasks as required. Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently. A commitment to providing high-quality care for all animals in your charge. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary. Short-notice availability is ideal. Willingness to work outside in sometimes adverse weather conditions is essential. Willingness to travel between our two locations is desired.
